Sandoz has more than 25 years of experience when it comes to recombinant products. In 1980, we were one of the first companies to introduce industrial scale fermentation of Interferon Alpha, one of the first recombinant proteins.

Sandoz offers state-of-the-art production facilities for recombinant human and animal proteins as well as industrial enzymes. One of our core strengths is the microbial fermentation of recombinant organisms such as E.coli and various yeasts. In this field, we offer fermentation at scales of 1 300 L, 3 000 L, 13 000 L and 40 000 L.
